Activities of 2022-23

A talk was organized on
‘Personality Development’ on November 09, 2022. It was followed by an
interactive session to help differently-abled students to be confident and
expressive.
·
A Chocolate Making
workshop was organized on February 16, 2023. Divya Bansal, a student of BA-II
trained the differently-abled students to make and wrap chocolates of various
flavours.
· During
the "Karigiri Se Karobari" event sponsored by the Education Ministry
and organised in the college premises on February 25, 2023, the self-help group
of the differently abled cell sold chocolates which were made the unit
students.
· Differently
Abled Cell participated in the Mega Millet Mom Competition organised by the NGO
Nivedita Trust on April 29, 2023. The participants showed their culinary skills
by cooking sumptuous dish using millets as main ingredient. In which the
Principal of the college and the College received the Honor for the contribution
in the field of Academics and Community Service.
Activities of the 2019-20

· A
poster making, slogan writing and essay writing competitions were held on
Nov.23, 2019 to create awareness about the Divyang among masses in association
with the NGO, SAKSHAM, an active organization for the Divyang. Further, prize
distribution ceremony was conducted at PGIMER, Chandigarh where first, second
and third prizes were announced and distributed.
· On
Dec.19, 2019, a survey was conducted in the Ram Darbar village and a
motivational lecture on disability inclusion was delivered.156 differentlyabled
persons were identified during the survey.
Activities during 2018-19

A Blind Walk was
organized by the Differently-Abled Students’ Welfare Committee to mark the
White Cane Safety Day on 15 October, 2018. Faculty members and students of the
college participated in this event. Many Competitions like slogan writing,
essay writing and poster making on the theme ‘Expectations of Differently-abled
Persons’ were also organized on occasion. PowerPoint Presentations were also
given by students to spread awareness.

A motivational lecture on
the theme, ‘Empowering the Self’ was organized on Jan. 30, 2019, by Brahma
Kumari Poonam. The speaker focused on the significance of a positive attitude
and a balanced mind in order to lead a happy life.
·
Parent-Teacher Meet for
the differently-abled students was organised on Mar. 02, 2019. The Principal of
the College, Prof. Dr. Rosy Walia Joshi interacted with the parents and the
students. The Meet was very interactive and fruitful.
